Bringing his enthusiasm and charisma to the stage, Tom Wilson has always kept his stand-up comedy clean. His humor is suitable for any audience. With four children, his family humor hits home with many, while stories from his diverse acting career bring laughter to all. He uses his musical talents to get the audience involved and brings the house down with his song parodies as well as performing original songs.

I was living in New York City, studying acting and performing as a spear carrier and stage-balancing unit in various stage productions, when a friend invited me to a stand up comedy show at the Improv in New York. I was blown away by the talent and energy of the performers, and inspired that I could put together a show of my own and get it onstage in front of people.
I wrote a few jokes and began performing stand up comedy in night clubs on the east coast, and before long, moved to Los Angeles and became a regular at The Comedy Store and the Improv, sharing the stage with Richard Pryor,
Jay Leno, Jim Carrey, Garry Shandling, and a who's who of comedy talent. I've appeared on The Tonight Show with both Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, Late Night With David Letterman, and I take great pride in having performed on the hit talk show Thicke of the Night starring Alan Thicke, which had a run of over ten episodes in the early '80s.
I have a new CD available of a live comedy performance oddly enough, called Tom Wilson Is Funny!, without profanity nor vulgarity. How is this possible you say? Buy one and find out yourself! Or two. I make a great stocking-stuffer. See my Buy Stuff page for more goodies.
After years of performing stand up successfully, I wrote and performed in a one-man show called "Cowboy Tommy's All-American Roundup," which one critic called "Absolutely brilliant. One of the most original shows I have ever seen." I swear I didn't make it up. He really said that.
Other television appearances include a number of specials for Global TV in Canada, and an appearance on the NBC comedy special steve.oedekerk.com.
I still perform comedy across the country for corporate events, parties and concerts, having opened for such performers as Fleetwood Mac and Rodney Dangerfield. I've performed comedy specials all over the world including New Zealand and Australia. If you're interested in having me perform for an event, contact me with an address and phone number.
